"Saabness?"

I think "saabness" means different things to different owners. To me, the best things about the older cars were the interiors and the engines. Now, the best thing about the new car is the exterior and I don't feel any sense of familiarity with either the way the car drives (engine) or the components of the interior. Maybe it's just that the car is such a radical departure from what I'm used to, and acquired taste.
I'm against the lpt engine and knew if I bought the car I'd have to have the thing reprogrammed. This is why honda owners are all over it, they see it as a tuner car. Get ready for the cold air intakes and chip upgrades that give the $25k (plus $1k in mods)car performance similar to the one the rest of the yuppies are paying $5k for in the vector models. Great chassis, but isn't saab essentially trying to con people into paying lots more for the same engine with a larger turbo and different engine mgmt. programming? Keep the upgraded stereo too, I can upgrade the base one myself for half the money and it will sound better too.
