I currently have a '00 9-5 wagon, my wife has a '01 9-5 wagon (WAGONEERS UNITE!!!). We have also have had a '98 900. I typically am most interested in ride and the interior of cars than exterior.

I drove the manual with Intro package. My humble opinions:
exterior:
- very tasteful and good looking. Unique, not as much as an older Saab, but still very upscale looking.

interior:
- Dash and controls are layed out very well, very driver friendly. The lock/unlock is right by the door handle, one finger away allows easy unlocking as you open the door. Small buttons? Not to me, much better layed out and clean compared to my 9-5. Buttons are higher up and easy to see while driving.
- Forward disply/info center is fantastic. No looking down to see radio station.
- Cloth on door and armrest - I would rather have leather. I hope the arc and vector have leather. Not a deal breaker, but its not my favorite.
- Arm rest did not slide forward. I wanted it to slide, I tried to force it to slide, I WILLED it to slide, the sales person said it does not slide, I am sad it did not slide. It was still in a pretty OK position for me.
- Materials - Excellent!!! I found them to be the opposite of cheap. Soft touch on the door and parking break. And not the greasy cheap kind, very nice I think.
- Cup holder. Pretty swanky in its operation. I do not get all worked up about cup holders. Rock solid, no, but I do not intend to be slamming 40's of Old English down in there so no problems for me. I am a gentle and forgiving drink putter-downer.
- Seats - very comfortable, leather seemed nice.
- Pedal position - perfect for my size 10s.
- clutch activation - very smooth and the throw is good. Pretty light and easy in traffic. I am worried about driving in heavy traffic (live near Detroit), but I am at ease after a test drive. My wife said she would learn to drive a manual and it should be easy in this car.
- shifter - smooth, no notchiness or binding. Very easy. I did start in third once, but I guess you need to get used to it.
Roominess - It felt almost as roomy as my 9-5 in the front, I ignored the back and trunk for now.

Suspension - Better than expected. Very balanced feeling. Very good over broken pavement which is a top priority for me. Road imperfections were dampened well, I was pleased. Confident in the handling at higher speeds, little body lean. No noticeable torque steer - another excellent attribute.

Engine - Smooth, didn't notice turbo lag. No kick in the pants? Right, as I said, no turbo lag. I do wish for more power. I will wait for the Vector. Not enough to be fun or safe? Not at all, its not bad and it still feels pretty perky.

Overall, I love it!! Not SAABY enough? Hardly. Still more Saaby than a non Saab. Looks, feels, and operates like a luxury car. Just my opinon of course. I just wish the wagon was coming out in March when my lease is up.
