Worrying about it now doesn't do you any good. You WILL be able to find a Viggen when the time comes that you can afford what you want, and so what if you have to fly one-way somewhere to pick it up and drive it back - sounds like a great road-trip to me!
The reason I think you will be able to find one is that the ride is not something that appeals to everyone - if you really dig the performance the ride is forgettable but if you buy the car more for the looks than the turbo blast, the harsh ride can get old if it's a daily driver. I love the performance and have adjusted to the constant road massage but others don't and sell the Viggens for a 9-5 or whatever. Also keep in mind you will probably be able to buy a brand new 9-5 Aero going forward in 2003 and on should the Viggens for some reason be impossible to find.
Good luck,
John
