I own a Viggen and during my 10k service, my dealer casually told me I needed 4 new tires and 4 new rims! Assinine or not, being told 1 year into ownership that I needed a $3,000 repair on a new car maded me pretty mad - I was ready to sue too!...
The dealer told me that the damage likely came from driving my car "too hard" - which to me is the reason you would buy a Viggen in the first place isn't it? I live in Boston - which is home to some of the worst roads in the nation. I think anyone who is sold a Viggen in this area should be fully forewarned that low profile tires are bound to be destroyed in this environment. I did not know this and was stuck with costly repair bill for new tires and rims - which my stupid dealer was fully ready to replace with the same equipment that got me in this mess in the first place!
Fortunately, I got a letter back from SAAB Cars, Inc., Litigation a few days later stating I was eligible for a claim. After further research, I learned it was very real and that the case had been settled by Saab. Just call 1-888-809-1205 for more information.
