Well, I'm seriously thinking of getting a new '02 Viggen 5-door while they still exist. I've test driven it, taken it out for the day, and become attached already. Black with tan, it's a nice combo with a killer attitude, but I've still got some reservations about the car and was hoping to get some input from you guys here!

One question is about reliability. I used to have a Subaru SVX (another rare car!) and it had its fare share of quirks. From small things (sun visors would always fall) to bigger issues (transmissions ALWAYS would fail at some point), all SVX's shared the same 'charms'. What little things have cropped up in the 01+ 93 hatchbacks and Viggens? I know there's always been a problem of fading emblems, interior bits and pieces suffering from problems. But along with drivetrain, turbo, and motor reliablitiy, how about the cupholder, or the sunroof knobs, the lights in the dash, the oil drain plug...the little things that fail but do so often, and are really annoying to fix?

How about the interior? How well do the saab leathers hold up? Also, with it being tan, do they seem to gather dirt a lot or do they stay pretty clean?

Also, after driving the car I love the 'pssssh' sound of the turbo. I know there are aftermarket pop-off valves/dump valves to amplify the sound, but do any work on the HOT on the 02 Viggen?

Again, any and all suggestions and comments on this vehicle would be greatly appreciated! I love the Saab for its uniqueness and character(not many here in central Florida), not to mention performance! But, I am still debating between it and the BMW 3 series (not an M, but I love that RWD feeling and soild feel of their 6cyl motors and suspension.)

Thanks!

-Adam
