Keep searching for suspension noise. I haven't had this problem because I don't live in a cold climate. The one noise I did have over bumps turned out to be slop in the rear bottom seat hinges so the metal bottom would slap real loud over speed bumps. Solved with a little tighening and a spacer. Others have posted on this.
The drink holder in the dash is a cruel joke by the Swedes! I can't think of better mount for hot, sticky liquids down your cd player(which btw, is about $1200.00) I don't even know what a SID costs. It took me about an hour with a Q-tip and Windex to get all the solidified cappuccino foam out of the cupholder slot and radio face courtesy of the former owner. I think the engineers at Saab were just pissed at having to install one so they placed it strategically.
On the stereo, popular opinion seems to be retain the stock head unit and put some serious power and speakers in. I haven't got into this yet but Saab warns against any mods to the door mounts due to the side airbag trigger. I am going to install aftermarket 6.5's in the doors and tweets in the dash and a four channel amp somewhere, as well as upgrade the rear 6x9's. There is an 8-pin DIN connector on the back of the head unit for a pre-amp out and Eric gives a good tutorial on making your own cable with front and rear RCA plugs. Others have complained about noise using speaker-level input to an after-market amp. The Saab upgrade is just not worth the expense when you can do so much more with the same money.
One thing to check out - your headgasket. Look for any seepage over the exhaust manifold area. There is a Saab Technical Service Bulletin on this. Do a search for "TSB". I just retorqued mine at 56K and this was needed judging by the amount of release torque and tiny seepage. Look under "more from Doug" for info on tools you'll need. It's titled Headbolt(Re)Torque.
Good Luck and welcome. Let us know how it's going.
