wouldn't it make more sense to run higher pressure in the front and lower in the rear? It makes sense to me that higher pressure in front reduces the amount the tire will get smooshed (a technical term!) because of the high weight. This should make the contact patch thinner. Conversely, there's not much weight in the rear, so the rear tires can have less pressure yet have the same size contact patch.
I'm confused!
