I've had my 9-3 for 3 weeks now. I purchased it used (1999 9-3 SE HOT) out of state with 4 months remaining on the factory warranty.
Impressions: Definitely a fun car and practical. Handling is is good, but can be improved with minor modifications. The car has already been in for service 3 times:
1) Driver's seat back motor became dislogded and caused damage to the seat frame... replaced under warranty.
2) Windshield washer motor died last week... replaced under warranty.
3) phantom "intermittent missing boost" problem identified by dealer today as a bad boost pressure control valve. Will be replaced under warranty.
I am sincerely hoping these are just bugs that need to be worked out and the car will be straight by the time the warranty is over. Should this be a continuing trend I will be severely disappointed, and will most likely sell it.
As for the dealer, Blue Grass Motor Sport in Louisville has been VERY GOOD to work with. They even supplied a new loaner when the seatback parts took a couple days to come in.
