I wrote the following to Saab:



I have heard that the 9-3X project has been killed under Debra Kelly-Ennis' leadership and I think this is a very sad thing. I have also heard that GM will expand part-sharing to include engines and drivetrains from Subaru. I really feel that this will destroy the Saab brand and its identity. The people who buy Saabs are not stupid- they know when parts are shared and when a sub-par vehicle is being built. If part-sharing expands even further, people will simply buy BMW's or Audi's. It is very important to preserve Saab's heritage- if the cars become rolling GM part-sharing experiments, buyers will ignore them- message boards all over the internet are already buzzing with anger over the 9-3X decision. Please do not bastardize the Saab brand- these cars are very special to many people and they don't like what is currently being done. Also, there are core Saab fans that will stop buying them if the cars continually lose their unque qualities.

I ask that, if possible, you forward this message to product managers regarding the future of Saab. Thank you,
