I drive a 99 9-3 covt with 49K and I must say that the car is a pleasure to drive. The only problem that I found from the typical wear and tear was a head gasket problem. Thankfully, the gasket was replaced under warranty. Would have cost $1000 had I paid for it myself. I suggest you have the car thouroghly inspected for known problems i.e. head gasket leak, climate control issues, etc. prior to termination of warranty.
Ultimately, if you take care of the car it will last many years.
