Aaron,
I had lots of Abbott ecu problems which turned out not to be abbott related at all.
Check engine light turning on and then turning off. This was caused by a misfire in the engine the only way for someone to find this was to go for a test drive with me. I corrected this by reducing the boost, correcting the plug gaps and then added water injection which works great at the preciously higher boost levels.
Hard starting issues. The engine temps was some crazy 212F when cold! Abbott suggested changing the temp sensors ect. It turn out to be a bad connection in the back of the ecu. This did not come up with a check engine light or the temp engine gauge in the car indicated a higher then normal temp. This was fixed with some soder.
Limp mode the car just ran slow and then all of sudden POWER! This was caused by a bad BCP and bad forge bov. The plastic valve in the BOV melted to the side of the BOV. You can check your BCP via tech2 as for the bov just take it out and try to move the piston. If it moves freely its good.
The dealer I took my car to as well claimed that it was an Abbott related problem. They claimed that ecu was at fault. I was going to order an new ecu an install it and see how the car ran. The dealer was more then happy to do this and let me try the ecu out for a week as long I'd pay for the full ecu price while using it and if this was not the problem charge me a 10% restocking fee.
Abbott will also claim that there ecu's are never at fault so it makes it very hard to try to convience them to look at your ecu again. Try talking to Giles at Abbott he has really helped me out before.
Someone else to talk to is Brad of Georges imports. He really knows his Saabs and is always willing to lend helpfull advice.
I can't think of anything else at this moment except good luck with your recent problems. I hope it all clears up soon.
