I refuse to become so mature that I prefer a Lincoln to a more, umm, spirited car!
I used to routinely rent large highway-boats - usually Lincolns, Cadillacs or big Chryslers - for driving between Colorado and Virginia. They are indeed comfortable....soporifically so. I'd get tired more quickly.
I used to drive a reefer semi 48 states, and the much greater attention and skill required to drive a "big rig" made the constant driving much more engaging. I'd go from the Pete to my car and get bored because driving a car seemed so routine and blah to drive.
I have never driven a 9-5 though, perhaps that would change my opinion.
