(good old freshmqn chemistry experiments proving helpful) wish i'd thought of it on saturday, when this all went down. thanks for all the advice folks.

now i just have to figure out what to do with the cement-stained grill. It's plastic (with chrome look--of course) and didn't respond to the muriatic potion. the garage manager is dealing with that today, but i think it might be a replace item (unless anyone knows something that might work). the stains on this look like little yellow water drop marks.

saturday was a rough day for the saab--got dinged (or chipped really) on driver's door while parked on street fri night. tell-tale yellow paint streak right next to it. (drunken taxi passenger exiting or entering no doubt). now shopping for touch-up paint. then discovered all sorts of new press marks, etc. on back bumper. whatever. car still looks great.

more importantly, i finally installed SAS swaybar after sat. wash. just threw it in a park parking lot and climbed under with a socket. WOW! i agree with most everyone's impression i've read here. you can just feel that you've got that big, heavy bar holding things together back there. impressive. i found myself driving a little faster, and i sensed i could probably throw little oversteer if i pushed it in the onramps. i like that.

btw, i kept the original hardware because i didn't have much room to work. how inferior is this?

now i guess it's time for the mbc i bought a few months ago. i kind of wanted to do the 3"intake first. but now that i've got better handling w/SAS, i'm getting itchy. (got k&n and sport exhaust) problem is, i still haven't even seen where it's gonna go. do i need to disassemble intake or anything to access this location?

alright, that's enough rambling for now. I'll bore you later when i get time to start messing with this.

thanks again. and, oh, love the PEANUT OIL solution for wax on plastic molding. really awesome. seeing my jet black molding come back to life almost made me forget about the door ding. so thanks for that recommend.
