I've had a few OK experiences with Dorschel (clutch was a good one) and several bad ones. My fellow Saab owner friends have had mostly bad.
Latest bad one--my 9^5 Wagon had a blown out rear shock (pretty common at 45K). My wife took it in and they put it on the alignment rack, checked ride height(!?), charged me $45 and sent her home..... Never looked at the shock to see it was oil covered or bounced it to see you could go for coffee and still find the thing bouncing when you got back..... Next trip in they actually bounced the car and decided, yes, the shocks were bad. Didn't have any in stock, though, so we're still waiting. Offered to credit the $45 for the shock replacement. I'm waiting to have them tell me it needs an alignment after a rear shock!
They have (or had) a few high quality Saab guys there, but some of them are awful. I'd never spend my own $$ there for fear of getting one of the awful ones.
I do 95% of my own work, but I had some Volvo work done at Impact Motors in East Rochester--they were'nt cheap but I felt I got quality work.
Re: your drivability problems--I'll search through your past posts and see if there's anything I can think of.
