most of the cars I looked at are still in the same form that they were 2 years ago. Here's my summary (bear in mind that I didn't really need tons of space, being a single guy without kids or pets):
1. VW Jetta - so glad I didn't go this route. They're as common as ants.
2. Volvo S40 - again glad I avoided this. Seems overpriced.
3. Volvo S60 - ranked fairly highly, but a little too large for me
4. MB C240 - way overpriced, and dealer had a snobbish attitude
5. BMW 3-series - again, overpriced, and for a 4 door, very tiny
6. Audi A4 (previous model) - not bad, although I felt very disconnected from the road
So, why did I pick Saab? Fantastic dealership experience, truly a unique car, offered tons of features at a great price, and I couldn't get the stupid grin off my face after every test drive. I haven't regretted a single day of ownership thus far.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Mark
