Are all auto carriers are not dependable?

I'm waiting on my new viggen to be delivered from FL, and the driver of the carrier told me I'll have by Monday morning (finally after a week and a half of waiting). He arrives to his company's base (two hours away from here) on Friday and waits till Monday since there's no business in weekends. Then suddenly, he gets sick over the weekend and can't drive on Monday. He says he'll bring it on Tuesday. I'm like, just bring it damn it! The worst part is I haven't gotten a single call from both the driver or the company over the weekend nor Monday nor Tuesday telling me what's going on. I made more than twenty calls over that time to find out all that. The company says he's the only driver of the carrier. They state they don't guarantee any deliver date, but can they do that and waste so much of my time? What a horrible experience. Has anyone used auto carrier services before? How were your experiences and do you have any recommendation of specific carriers? Arrrgh, still waiting..
regards,
