Armando,
The factory head unit only has an 8-pin DIN cable audio output. It has to be converted to standard RCA type connectors in order to use an aftermarket amp. Saab charges $90 for this cable, but I got one from the wreckers for $15. There is no aftermarket converter for 8-pin to RCA. You will have to cut the cable and solder on female RCA's to the proper wires. The wire layout is explained in the audio FAQ on this site (Thanks to Richard Bevan). Also, the remote turn-on lead of the stock head may or may not have enough voltage to tell the aftermarket amp to turn on. I have a Fosgate 400a4 and there was not enough current to activate my amp. Some others on thise site with Alpine have said that they were able to use the turn on without a problem, I guess some amps are more sensitive than others. In the case that the Remote turn-on directly from the head does nt turn on the amp, you have 2 options. A LVT (low voltage trigger) works well, or you can steal switched power from another source. Most people here recommend from the anteanna lead. I prefer the LVT method.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
