WTF...Semi-major Viggen problems!

I finally took the wife's Viggen in for the lack of boost problem. Turns out that the turbo is toast(the noise behind the fire wall) but I am guessing that that they are going to find a faulty BPV or vacuum problem as a noisy turbo doesn't cause a boost problem. Unless there is an integral wastegate that has gone bad and I don't know enough about the Viggen turbo to make that call.
Really surprising though was that my occaisional tranny clunk when engaging 1st from a stop was diagnosed as a bent shift fork! I have known other Viggen owners to complain of this problem and assumed it was a bad pressure plate or T-out bearing. I am crossing my fingers that when they open the tranny up, they will find sufficient damage to warrant a replacement as the Saab policy is to service the unit if possible.
1. This is really surprising on a car with only 30K mile('99).
2. Thank god that it is under warranty!
3. I am concerned as to the abilities of a Saab dealers tech to tear down a tranny.
4. Wondering if I should raise hell for a new tranny.
Sorry for my rage fest. Oh, did I mention that the dealer had the car for 4 days before they started working on it. Saab service may well be worse than BMW service! Although I must give them credit in that it only took 1 hour to diagnose the problems after they started working on the car!
