Wouldn't get too mad... Same issue here - just bought a 99 CPO Viggen that went into the shop a week (soonest I could get it in) after I bought it with a 14 item list - one of which is lack of boost and some tranny issues. I bought it from one dealer and took it to my home dealer to fix all the issues. They have had it now for 4 days and I haven't heard anything yet, but they gave me a nice new 9-5 loaner so who is to complain.
I trust that the Saab Tech can fix the tranny. Not sure a whole new tranny will be all that better than one fixed right.
Part of owning a car like the Viggen are issues such as this. My BMW was the same way. My Audi took the cake, but as long as I have a good loaner and things get fixed right I am Ok with it. My Viggen is probably worse off than yours and as long as it comes back to me driving like it did from the factory my grin will return.
Just another perspective...I love my cars to no end, but I guess I don't get that mad when they are in for service anymore as long as my loaner is nice and they fix things right the first time. I actually think very highly of Saab service, but it sure would be different dealer to dealer.
