Before I start, I respect Tim's opinion but I don't seem to agree with it.
I realize GM has made its influence on Saab, but it is far from being a Chevy or any other GM brand for that matter. For starters, the entire car is made in Sweden by Swedish hands, not lazy blue collar union workers (don't meant to offend anyone). Second, the engine is 100% made in Germany...once again not in Alabama or Detroit. I agree some of the interior plastic is cheap...but that accounts for only 5% of the interior...if that. You have to remember this is a $26K (start) car...not $40K. As for the stereo, this is the first car I've owned that I didn't take every audio component out and replace. While it may not sound as good as my ex-SUV with all Alpine equipment, I still would need a lot more justification to upgrade (but never will). My friend's girlfriend has a Cavalier; I don't think your comparison is justified.
I don't think 2 bad factors are enough to justify insulting the new 93. Aside from the engine, handling and brakes, this car packs other features to should attract buyers. E.g:
-Perfect paint & body panels
-Transmission
-SAFETY....which speaks for its self
-Standard high-quality leather seats
-and so on...
