After driving the car for three days now with this mod, I'm still thrilled. The turbo/boost lag is greatly reduced and the car simply screams! The boost still goes 1/2 way into the red and stays there until the upper rpms where it tapers back to the beginning of the red.
The car has not thrown any CELs nor have I run into any fuel cut-off issues. However, the car did go into "limp-home" mode today after I was running it hard and then suddenly backed-off the throttle to hit the brakes for a car that pulled-out in front of me. The hooter valve gave a big "psssssshhhhhhheeeehttp://wwww" and then I couldn't boost past halfway into the yellow. I turned the car off and back on and then ran it hard for another 1/2 hour with no problems.
The one gripe I have is as respects 1st gear - due to my sticky summer tires, I'm getting some axle tramp if I go full throttle from 5mph or so. Therefore, I've learned to shift early to 2nd (@ 3,000 rpms or so) and then enjoying the rapid building of boost to redline :-)
Long and short of it - a great mod!!
Regards,
Derek
