Before the install, the boost would hit the line between the yellow and red zones in every gear with the occasional move slightly into the red zone. After the mod, I don't necessarily think the boost is moving that much into the red in 1st but as respects 2nd-5th, it absolutely goes about 1/2 way in (maybe it's a load issue??). The boost/turbo lag is substantially reduced in every gear to the point that 1st offers immediate throttle response at every section of the rpm range from idle to redline.
From a traction perspective, I'm running sticky summer tires that simply won't slip on dry pavement; even in 1st. The problem in 1st is that as they don't slip, I'm getting axle tramp. As I have no desire to trash the tranny or suspension, I'm going to stick with shifting early in 1st and letting that long 2nd gear do the job. In rain, the tires are as bad as the factory POS P6000s and with the mod, I'm actually able to invoke the TCS in 3rd when I put my foot down at 3,000 rpms (I only leave the TCS on in rain/snow/ice).
That's about it for now!
Regards,
Derek
