High Temperature/High Shear.
Bearings & cam lifters work better with the improved HT/HS properties of slightly heavier oils. You want a better hydrodynamic film in these areas so that you never have to rely boundary lube additives (moly, zinc, etc). Remember, you have absolutely no way to control when the turbo's "on" or "off," so simply saying, "I don't drive hard," isn't valid for our cars.
The new M1 xW-30 wt oils are all improved to meet the ACEA A5 classification, but none of them meet Saab's long-standing recommendation of ACEA A3 (better HT/HS). The only M1 oils which meet this are the 0W-40 & 15W-50. If I lived in Central California (or anyplace else where it never got below freezing), I'd run M1 15W-50 exclusively. Since I live in Northern Colorado (& last winter it got down to minus-6*F!), I run 0W-40 year-round in my 9-3. As a bonus, the improved durability if these two oils would easily allow you to extend your drain intervals to 10k miles.
