questions following 30K service

Just a couple of questions following my 30K miles service:
1. I've been using Mobil 1 5W30 for the past 20K miles or so. After requesting the service manager to use fully synthetic, the mechanic apparently didn't get the message, so now my car has 5W30 semi-synthetic. Will this be a problem? (other than not being as good a motor oil as fully synthetic, of course) Or could I go 2500 miles or so until I change back to full synthetic without any problems?
2. I'd been contemplating changing the automatic transmission fluid. Even though the car only has 30K miles, it is four years old with plenty of stop and go city driving. 60K, where it is scheduled, may not come for another 3 years or so at the rate I'm driving, and 7 yrs. does seem a bit long to go without changing the automatic transmission fluid. Anyway, on the itemization of the service there is a listing that says "4 DEXTRON, DEXRON3, $9.00". Does this mean they added some fluid? If so, should I not do the fluid change until 3 years/30K miles from now, or go ahead with it?
3. Finally, brakes were listed by the mechanic at 7 mm front, 5 mm rear. Just curious, under normal driving, about how much longer would I have til I need to change the pads?
Thanks in advance for your help!
