Just one man's opinion.
My 1998 Saab owners manual recommends a 5W-30 (must be at least semi-synththic) or 10W-30 oil for typical use. Alteratives are listed as 0W-30 (must be synthetic only), 10W-40 and 15W-40.
For areas where the tempertures never get below 60F, Saab recommends 15W-50 or 20W-50.
For Atlanta (Average yearly lows in the 40s F and highs in the 90s F with rare spikes to below freezing and above 100F) the Mobil 0W-40 would seem to cover the temperature range just fine. Mobil 1 15W-50 would also work as synthetic oils have much better cold flow characteristics than convientional motor oils.
Another factor is whether or not the car is garaged and subject to the lowest possible outside temperatures.
My Alfa needs the Mobil 1 15W-50 because of the larger engine clearances in the Alfa' Italian designed steel sleeved aluminum engine design.
So you could use either Mobil 0W-40 or Mobil 1 15W-50 and be just fine. If you plan to 'chip' the engine, then Mobil 1 15W-50 will provide a better margin of protection for the bearings.
