I own a '99, but I think that most would agree that any comments would apply to all years. Drivetrain has been bulletproof thus far. Body structure has also been relatively tight - keep in mind this is an older platform. No other issues aside from the previously mentioned rotor wear, bent rims, and scratched spoiler. As far as the rotors are concerned, the only alternative that I am aware of is from Abbot Racing in the UK - big $. For pads, many have switched to EBC Greenstuff. No real difference in performance, but should improve wear and cut down on brake dust. Bent rims are part of the deal with a Viggen. Like others have stated, I moved to a 225/45-17 with approx 40psi. I selected the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. They have been very impressive so far. It's a great, albeit slighty offbeat car.
