there are some good deals to be had. While I liked the way the 9-3 SS Vector handled, I had no headroom until the seat was down to the floor with my legs straight out in front of me. I know I could not drive this car for more than 20 miles without getting out to give my neck a break. And I found the build quality quite disappointing, rough edges on plastic, cheap carpet, and a Steering wheel adjuster that broke off in my hand. It did have a real cupholder in the console. New GM block is still a question mark for long term reliability. Overall, not impressive.

The 9-5 Aero on the other hand was better on the highway, not much more headroom, but I did not have to put the seat on the floor to drive it either, back seats much better, but the car didn't have enough steering feedback to please me (it was more like a Lexus or Audi). Out of the two, I like the Aero, and I know what to expect out of the old Saab motor. GM is offering deeper incentives on the 9-5.

Do not like the looks of either car (had too many (5) Saab 3 door turbo coupes in my life), but the interior in the 9-5 is more attractive.

Neither have a hatch so off late model (01, 02) Viggen shopping I am going...
