I have a vector for 2 months now. Runs flawlessly. Smooth engine, sharp handling, good looks, great brakes and no squeaks. 6 speed requires a lot of shifting around town and tends to grind a while first thing in the morning, but it is well matched to the engine once warmed up. Radio sound is a big disappointment and common complaint, and I have "300 watts" which sounds more like 30. I am hoping for a factory fix. I think that the electronics and that silly key are a bit over the top. Sunroof buffets at speed when open, and rear seat attachment rings stick up and reduce utility of folding rear seat backs. Some of the fittings (steering colum adjustment knob, for example) feel plastic & cheap. Overall, the 9-5 is more solid and sorted out, but it doesn't handle like this new car.
I thought my car was a good deal until a friend of mine landed a comparably equipped Mercedes C Class wagon for $31.1K. I guess everything is getting very competitive.
