John, I don't see how different rotors or the ebc pads (on a viggen) will improve braking. Sure, you'll get better braking with the ebc racing pads but they don't work very well when not heated up with track driving. The biggest benefit of standard ebc pads that I've heard of is less dust. For slotted vs. cross drilled, look at brembo's website. They say both slotted and drilled work about the same, with drilled having slight advantage of less unsprung weight. A great brake upgrade would be 4 piston front calipers. Brembo calipers are very expensive, like $2500+?? Believe it or not I saw Wilwood calipers at saabsavior's tent at SOC. They're dirt cheap in comparison and come with adapter blocks. Non viggens can upgrade front rotor size to viggen with a kit from genuinesaab.com
