I have a 2001 SAAB 9-3 convertible, at 24,500 miles the dealer says I need new brake pads and new rotors. I drove a brand new toyota camry for 12 years and put new rotors on it once. On the SAAB, the brake pads, it was stated, would last another 1,000 to 4,000, miles depending on how I drove. Well personally, since the brake pads, or lack thereof, weren't cutting into the rotors, I have a big problem with having to replace the rotors and brake pads at 24,500 miles on a vehicle that this is the first time I have had to replace the brake pads and I have driven the car since it was new. The dealer says to me, that brake pads and rotors on Saabs go hand and hand. I said, you see this hair color,(blonde) its not real. This has to be a manufacturers defect!
