This is simply to designate a series installed MBC. Nothing new, just a concise way to refer to it. Saves keystrokes. And it is a way to not suggest a basic MBC as a solution for a T7.
MBC+Anticipator or MBC+A is a way to hook an air pressure regulator in parallel with a MBC on a T5, which eliminates the cause of boost pressure overshoots and fuel cuts etc. The ball-spring MBC's have this tendacy to act too late to control the pressure. This is fundamental and cannot be eliminated by any design enhancements. The anticipator combination preloads the WGA with a regulated amount of pressure, but not enough to open it, prior to the MBC's flow. This allows the MBC to get down to the business of opening the WGA without the delay that causes pressure overshoots. With this arrangement the MBC can then be pressurized from the TB, and this eliminates boost drop caused by the MBC being pressureized from the turbo compressor's hose barb. So a MBC can be a perfect solution, but you have to, still, be careful with 1st gear to avoid wheel spin. Without the anticipator, a MBC fed from the TB would be really really bad for overhsoots. The fact that the anticipator controls things in this configuration is a testament to how good the anticipator concept is.
The APR must be a basic non-relief type. These are inexpensive and light weight. One with a softer regulator spring to yield a smaller regulation range, such as 0-10 PSI will work better than one for 0-125 PSI.
