There are some great dealers out there (some of them on this board)...and there are more than enough incompetent sleazebags to give everyone a bad name.
Take your business elsewhere (maybe an authorized Saab service place) and see the difference. My wife and I test drove an 01 9-3 and the dullard at ACTON SAAB in ACTON, MA. tried to hard-sell us into an immediate trade-in on our 97 900SE, told me that Saab would never come out with an AWD vehicle because Subarus have soooo many problems, and was completely clueless about the reliability issues with the V-6 engines from Opel/Vauxhall.
We never take our 97 to this den of dimwits; we take our down the road to a guy who has worked on Saabs for 20 years. His dad, who just retired due to health problems, was one of the first Saab certified mechanics in the country.
If the dealers can't handle your car, definitely take it elsewhere...Any one else have any similar experiences?
