For details on the MBC + A search for DRS<underscore>Anticipator

Short version:

Last night I changed from an MBC between the Turbo and wastegate to an MBC tapped off of the throttle body and an air pressure regulator from the turbo to the wastegate. The significance of this mod cannot be overlooked !!

The greatest benefit is the elimination of boost droop as engine speed increases. This really makes things exciting.

Long version:

The picture below shows where I tapped pressure from the throttle body. I don't really know what the hose does that I spliced a "Y" connector to - anybody ??

Before installing, I hooked up the APR to shop air to understand how it works. In my estimation it is more of a flow regulator than a pressure regulator. My understanding of what's happening is that the APR is limiting air flow to a very low level. The MBC bleed hole allows enough air to escape that pressure cannot build beyond a preset level.
