The 3" Air box mod and the TBTC porting mods have been extensively discussed on these BB's. Both of which pertain the the T5 engine as the newer t7's have been altered with a newer airbox that doesn't have as small of an opening as the older t-5 cars and the TBTC was discontinued being replaced by a one piece plastic pipe up to the Throttle Body. But there are other transition points that could be addressed in both cars. Gains will probably be smaller than the two aforementioned.

The IC turbo hoses meet hard pipes going into the IC and coming out of the IC to the hardpipe up to the TB. These hoses balloon just a little under high boost, but even when there's low boost present, you still have the pipe edges hampering flow.
A second clamp creates a smoother transition from rubber hose to metal or plastic tubing.

Dean and I had been discussing this issue when I ran into a picture off of Gus Mahon's site with an illustration of what we were addressing. He had been doing this for some time already.

I placed a second set of hose clamps around the IC hoses, one on the way into the IC and one coming out of the IC on the transition to the hardpipe. For safe measure, I put a piece of bicycle innertubing underneath the clamp to keep the hose from damaging the IC hose from the clamps sharp edges in any way. The clamps should not be too tight that it creates it own restriction, but enough to hold the hose so that it cannot expand past the hardpipe.

For t-5 cars, I also addressed the transition between the hardpipe and the TBTC. There is a 2" hose transition there. I bought a clamp that had a piece of corrugated metal attached that covers the entire 2" to keep that hose from expanding as well, but I am sure that one could use an additional center hose clamp to do the same job.

For me, it is hard to tell if there was any gain or additional smoothness in acceleration on a car that has a modified air box and a ported TBTC. It would be interesting to see if anyone feels a difference after doing this before other modifications are made to the car, say someone with a T-7?

Below is Gus's illustration. I can post other pictures of the TBTC transition hose if anyone would like.
