I've had my 2000 a couple months and like it. How well it handles (firm, etc) is a matter of comparison to what you drove before. Some say the Viggen is "harsh", I think it's plush because I came from a Nissan 300ZX before this. The Viggen by no means handles as well as my Z did, even though it's years newer. More body roll, vague steering, and the infamous torque steer that nearly sent me into the side of a BMW 540 I was "testing" (I never race! ;-) off a stoplight!
Because of all this I have planned a steering rack brace, underbody brace and upgraded rear sway bar. From what I've read on here that will make things a lot nicer. I'll post comments within a month when it's all said and done.
Mind you, I don't expect the Viggen to have the handling characterisics of a sports car, because it's not one, it's a "sports sedan". And it certainly excels against sports cars in utilty and comfiness, which is why I got it. When you only have one car, you want it to do more.
Plus, how many cars are named after a jet fighter? ;-)
