Exclusivity and too much fun.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: 9-3 saab viggen, bostonsabber, Sat, 15 Nov 2003 21:02:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just any Saab is unique. A Viggen is a whole 'nother level. Viggen power is intoxicating. Few cars match a Viggen's pulling power at speed. May all the roads that pass under your Viggen be smooth. A NG900 - 9-3 is fairly non-compliant to begin with and a Viggen is just plain stiff. This does nothing to eliminate the squeaks and rattles of the hatch. You may have to work at keeping your Viggen tight.
Torque steer, in the lower gears, is indeed a characteristic of a Viggen. Some have maintained that character is what makes a car memorable and enjoyable.
Brakes, clutches and tires are all withing the norms for replacement in the context of a super-high performance car.
A Viggen without vices, plus a couple of hundred pounds, can be found in a 9-5 Aero.
