I had Saab financil as well. The first dealership(x) I called did not offer this service to me but another dealership(y) did. Once I knew that the dealerships could negotiate a lower cost I called the orginal x dealership and told them I wanted a lower cost because y dealership said they could do it. X dealership agreed to do this but y dealership was lower and I felt more comfortable dealing with them. Your dealership sounds like it is bluffing so they can make a quick profit or they are misinformed about the whole process. If it helps VOB in Rockville Maryland was the dealership I ended up buying my car through.
