I just think it's so funny how narrow minded people can be! Saab is in the business to sell cars & make money! They have not been able to do that for a VERY long time which is partially due to the large number of SUV's being sold instead of cars. In the 80's & early 90's where car's still outsold SUV's companies didn't need to produce such a vehicle to give them large profits. However in today's world of Dodge powered my Mercedes & several european cars built here in the states it's unfortunantly something that they just MUST do to keep their bank account out of the red. I do not like SUV's at all & I think it's very sad that so many people swarm to them vs some of the family sedans & wagons which are offered today.
Also, do you really think saab wasn't able to tweek the 9-7 like how they wanted? I really suggest you attend a SOC where you can talk with the saab reps, you will find that you are completely wrong on your ideas that saab is being washed away by GM.
