I would DIY a lot of things if my car is out of warranty. I don't think warranty service is a previledge, but my right. I'm sure the money I paid for the car included that. And, I'm sure Saab knew about it when they put the price tag. I know I could've adjusted washer nozzle thingy, but I didn't want to cause any more problem by experimenting or poking with a pin or something. Why risk? Is the dealership losing money that way? No. Am I going there for just that reason? No. So, why not?
I was refering to the rear Viggen specific spoiler. I haven't heard of the air dam rattling, but I've heard of the rear spoiler becoming loose on other Viggens on this board. People who need to know would know what I was talking about.
I know the parking brake should be pulled up all the way. My problem was that it was CHANGING-losing grip over time. In that rate I know I'll reach a point where I won't be able to brake securely no matter how far I pull. That's why an adjustment.
Dealer said the DC socket was broken inside and had to replace it. Did I try to fix it before without success? You betcha. I don't think I could've done any better than taking it to the dealer.
The SID, yes it was the snow. The outside temperature sensor is located under front bumper and it got ripped off when I had to drive over piles of snow when it was snowing. I don't know how common it happens, but it was a big deal because it messed up the ACC, which i liked to use all the time.
Hope it clarifies a bit.
