Is a very simple design - the end is threaded and you actually have to screw a hose on fully for the valve to actuate. When the hose is unscrewed there is a brass cap that screws on over it to protect it - even without this it would probably be ok.
Just by looking at it, it seems highly unlikely that it would fail from an impact (it is really low profile), but I was curious about it getting clogged with time or the actual mechanism jamming somehow.
