CEL and suspension noise issues

I am happy to say that I am new to the SAAB family! Few months ago I purchased a 2000 93 base, with 56K miles and have really been enjoying it. The car runs great, however I do have a few concerns that I was hoping you guys could help me with … I have searched this board for all of these issues, and the amount of info that I got was great!! Excellent web site!!!
Few weeks ago my CEL came on, and it has been on and off ever since. I went to the dealer to have the codes read, and while driving there the CEL went out. I was hoping that the codes would be stored, but dealer couldn’t find any … The light is back on today. The car drives fine, other than a few times I have noticed, at idle, the revs drop to about 600 rpm, the engine stumbles a bit, and then it recovers … sounds like a misfire, but why aren’t the codes stored? … is this a dying DI? … or could it be something else .. just as an FYI, I replaced the fuel filter, plugs and air filter 2 weeks prior to light coming on …all parts are Saab original (plugs are NGK R PFR 6’s) …
Also I am hearing a lot of clunking from the right front suspension area. It happens on very small imperfections and bumps … I suspect the sway bar end links and bushings need replacing .. has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks guys, your views are much appreciated!!
