Adding an external amp for the front and door speakers won't give the rears any more power, or at least not anything noticeable. You'd actually be better off using your external amp for the door and rear speakers and leave the fronts powered by the head unit. It puts out plenty of power for a pair of 3.5" speakers, but not nearly enough for 6"x9" speakers. You'll need to get an 8-pin DIN cable to tap into the line-level outputs on the head unit. Check out Richard Bevan's NG900/9-3 Audio FAQ in Saabnet's FAQ section for details. The only other amp I've heard of anyone fitting where the stock amp goes is MTX's smallest 2-channel model. A 4-channel amp is out of the question. Most people end up mounting amps to the back of the rear seats, but some of us have put them on the side of the hatch, back by the taillights. There's a great flat space on the right side.
