I sold mine a little under a year ago, but not for any mechanical problems. I was far too anal with the thing...always worried about scratches, dings, parking next to vans. Total stress case. Also moved into a house and started doing my own reno work. There was no way I was going to haul building materials in the back of that thing.
Sold it privately, moved into a 2004 Vibe. 10 months later: broken fog light, damage from running over a raccoon, some spilled coffee in the cup holder, and I'm as happy as ever with it.
You'll be happy to know that I didn't dump it for fear of mechanical disasters or for the newest toys. More of a lifestyle change. Not a single regret though. Life is too short for that.
Cheers,
Mark
