I own a 2000 5dr, love it. Have only owned it for 4 months. Have had similiar thoughts - Saabs having the reputation of "running forever" but reading of the various issues on this board. Like others I am more anal with this car than any previous (ask my wife), I enjoy it more than any other car I have owned. I am hoping since it seems to have been very well maintained and cared for prior to me and have no intention of any Mods (155 mph and getting there faster than most is plenty fast for me - being married with children and all) that it will last a very long time. If it does Saab may have me for a very long time - I am already becoming pretty addicted.
