Actually, the 225's are typically a 1/2" taller. Makes a difference, but not enough to worry about (11 more revolutions per mile difference). Hit the "spec" on the Tirerack site and it will usually have all the dimensions and the revs per mile.
You also might note that there is some discreptancy in height and tread width for a given size for different manufacturer's. Example is my race tires in the 225/45/17 size: the Avon's are 8.3" tread width and 25" tall versus the Hoosier's at the 8.8" tread width and 24.6" tall.... It's all about the ratio's
