In 2002, I bought a 1999 Viggen, CPO, with 42,000 miles on the clock.
I got the 100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
At 55,000, I replaced the Clutch
At 75,000, I replaced the front rotors and pads
At 90,000, I replaced the waterpump, the spark plugs and one of the belt tensioners. I had all the 90,000 mile work doen by Walter Wong in Los Angeles, because I wanted one of the most respected independents in SoCa to go over my car and tell me if anything needed doing before my 100K warranty ran out.
There was nothing to do, besides what's listed above. The car is still tight and fast.
Also at 90,000, I replaced the tires (after 48,000 miles).
I drove the car hard and fast, 100 miles per day, 5 days a week and I maintained/serviced it religiously.
I love this car! (It'll be up on the for sale board some time next week, because I just bought a 2001 Viggen with only 27,5K on the clock, which I'm also taking to Walter for an inspection tomorrow.)
Perhaps I got lucky with my 1999, but I was sure happy with it.
