Lucas,
You may want to check that the battery you're considering has an adequate CCA rating based on what is specified for your car. Look closely as retailers sometimes quote a CA rating instead of a CCA rating. Both ratings determine how many amperes a battery will deliver continuously for 30 seconds while maintaining a voltage of 1.2 volts per cell or higher (this translates to at least 7.2 volts in a 12-volt battery.) The CA rating is measured at 32 degrees Farenheit and the CCA rating is measured at O degrees Farenheit. This difference in rating methods tends to inflate the battery rating by 10 to 30% when the retailer uses the CA scale. Knowing this will let you compare apples to apples, so to speak.
I don't know if Sears still sells the battery I bought for my 9kt last year, but it was a Diehard Gold, group 34 with 795 CCA and a 100 month warranty. I have been very happy with this battery, but don't know if if will meet the specs that you need.
Good luck!
