You should have #6 heat range plugs to keep them cleaner. What plugs are you using now and which were in there?
Carbon deposits will increase the octane demands of the engine as there will be hot spots on the deposits. That coupled with low octane fuel can create octane problems. Premium fuels have additives to resist the formation of deposits. The DI and ECU may have detected problems with knock control. If knock conditions are sensed, the ECU might be making the effected cylinders richer to compensate and things could get worse. If you had any missing at full throttle, then that will form carbon rapidly. This is what happens with a fouled plug, it then gets worse really fast at that point. Missing can be detected by the ECU and the O2 sensor sees the problem too and you can also get a CEL for that.
Short trips and city driving also make the problem worse. And if the injectors had been fouled for a long time, the poor spray pattern will also contribute to deposits. Highway miles will tend to reduce deposits.
Techron CONCENTRATE will often clean injectors in a few days and will solve many starting problems. You also need to clean the TB and IAC as deposits in these can create starting issues and other problems that you describe.
Make sure that it is Tecron Concentrate that you are using, not their other products.
Pull and read plugs your self, become self sufficient in this.
If you use cheap gas, there is a cost, also a reduction in performance.
If you have fouling, you may also have sticking rings. What oil are you using? Do you need to add any between changes?
Dealer maintenace is one thing, but driving with CELs for months is getting a bit neglectful. If you can't resolve these problems yourself, then you need to get in for service at that time, not waiting for the next scheduled service.
