Accessing Driver's Side Steering Clamp?

With my newfound enthusiasm for all things polyurethane, I purchased the bushing to replace the rubber one in the driver's side steering rack clamp (the VRK brace supports the other side).
I unclipped the fuse box and removed the 10mm plastic nut that holds it down, but I still can't get a good shot at the clamp bolts, as the ABS and other brake bits are in the way. Is there anyway to remove the fuse box completely (without cutting wires), or any other tricks you can offer to get to this clamp? Should I come in through the wheel-well?
This isn't critical, but now I'm curious.
As a side note, I'm installing the Taliaferro transmission mount this evening... I'll see how that goes.
Best,
Lutfisk
