1- The pigtail must be disconnected from the DI. It has a tricky little lock mechanism that is part of the connector. The lock slides to the side and allows the connector to pull out of the DI.
2 - Remove the 4 torx screws that hold the DI down. I think you have the proper size in your cars' tool bag, can't remember what it is.
3 - Pull straight up on DI with a little rocking motion to remove.
4 - Call the bad unit a SOB and throw in the trash.
5 - I bought "dielectric grease" at the parts store and lube the nipples after spark plug jobs or when the DI is removed. Your new unit may be greased already.
6 - Carefully push the new unit down over the spark plugs and seat it all the way down.
7 - Replace the torx screws and don't over tighten.
8 - Replace the pigtail and be sure connector is fully in and sliding lock is pushed back into place.
9 - Have a beer.
